Pretty awesome article; there are plenty of scholarly texts about color design to dig into, but it's great to have an overview like this for general audience to understand the basics and complexities.

Another interesting article using Nokotan as the example. I hope there are more of these articles. Since these are sort of related there should be a way to access the other article (or articles if new ones come out or I've missed some) at the bottom of the page like the Halloween from the world of Anime posts have so that those who are interested can easily find it.

Really cool article! It's an aspect of animation I've never given much conscious thought to, but looking back it's easy to see when a show's art just "pops," and the color palette is a huge part of that.
