This trailer's primary purpose is to reveal the global key visual, so what you're seeing (the slideshow) is planning across the visual before seeing the whole thing. The anime doesn't premiere until October, so we'll probably get animation-focused trailers closer to the due date.

Maybe similar to Ufotable Demon Slayer Movie trailers they sometimes used slide show to keep it secret...
