this is actually pretty cool.
there is something i wanted to ask...when the original death stranding came to pc and later on xbox, i believe that version was published by 505 games. since the sequel is straight up published by playstation studios, i'm guessing sony licensed the first game to 505 to publish it or the first game...
i feel like there's another reason, but still, just curious.

i feel like there's another reason, but still, just curious. | Yeah, it's a bit complicated - at the time when first Death Stranding was released on PC, Sony most likely not really had much faith in the game sales and the game was sublicensed, so 505 picked it as the publisher on PC - but then it turned out to be a hit during the COVID era.
Now while Kojima basically controlling the IP and in recent year for Sony the market outside the Playstation turned out to be too massive to skip and worth hundreds of millions USD per quarter, they obviously decided to get the bag by themselves.

Death Stranding 1 was ported to PC by July 2020 by 505.
In 2021, Sony acquired Nixxes specifically to port games to PC.
So Sony can internally handle and publish it's own PC ports now.
