Too many of such news recently. Sure, he's been comatose for a while, but it doesn't make it any less tragic. Rest In Peace, and condolences to all loved ones, and to the fans of his work.

RiP. Im surprised he wrote songs in da capo series which are popular vn and that deardrops vn from overdrive. Then i remember yozuca i cant forget her ending song on Dakara boku wa h ga dekinai

Ikeda-san contributed A LOT to the anime and video game music industry. You've probably heard his work somewhere even if you didn't know it. This isn't a complete list but vgmdb shows over 180 works: https://vgmdb.net/artist/853

Such a loss for the industry. I hope yozuca* is ok.

As a fan of the Da Capo series, this hits me where it hurts. My condolences to Yozuca and their child.

RIP Shigeru Ikeda-san. Thank you for all the wonderful music you helped create.

As many have said on X/Twitter, I hope that yozuca* looks after her health. (yozuca* was great at the savage genius - organised Animaze event on 13 February 2026 and I was even able to say hello to her after the show).
