I love how this episode had a little something for everyone. Fans of straight romance, gay romance and jacked furry lady in bikini.

I love that we've got insight into reasons behind Karma's overwhelmingly sunny disposition, which happened to be an equivalent of 2 meters tall 130kg man avoiding sudden movements and rarely raising his voice. It has a twofold purpose of not intimidating people who know how dark elves curses works but also likely lessening potential of hurting someone by accident.

Really liked this episode full marks to animators for making Jarashi's chosen clothes look like they actually suited her,

Extra points for making outfit recommended by other consultant (one with triangular pattern long-sleeve) looking kinda ok, but not quite good.

OK, while having to stare through the empty space where your loved one has to be during sex is, indeed, unsettling, I had an annoying intrusive thought: Come on girlie, you're a literal dog-person, you ought to be aware that there are ways, or I would dare say styles of having intercourse which would circumvent the whole "starring into the void" issue. Or maybe this is considered an offensive stereotyping in the multispecies world of this story? Is this an n-word situation, where it's ok for two dog-people to do it, but a huge no-no otherwise? Are there posts of r/AmITheAsshole going like "AITA for asking my beastfolk GF to do it doggie-style"? Would this line of thinking get one dogpiled on Bluesky?

Wow, "d*gpiled"? Please educate yourself.
Also maybe doggy-style is basically missionary for dogpeople and she wanted to spice things up in the bedroom?

Oh, I'm so sorry, let me quickly dust off my ukulele for an apology video.
Lmao, yeah, would make total sense. Or maybe the real reason for break up was that it took her up to two hours each time to dry herself with a crappy human-designed hair drier Tounome has bought, and the creepy invisible sex stuff was just an excuse.

I just love how Shizuka always jumps to "marriage?!" every time Akira proposes a new step in their relationship. Girl knows what she wants.
I didn't expect Akira to blatantly admit he's preferable to Shizuka stepping on him, but I appreciate the honesty.
Nice to see Jarashi's side-ship is progressing well enough.
Shizuka trying to lick herself is...absolute precious.

I haven't watched this, but I was curious. Was the invisibility important to the plot or maybe relevant to the relationship?
I could see what they'd be going with if one of them was blind and invisible, so that neither one could see the other with a message about love being more important than looks or something like that, but with her being blind and him being invisible, she's not going to see him regardless.
Being blind can affect a relationship, so I can see that being used for the story, but if she can't see him, does it matter that he's also invisible?

Long story short, since Shizuka is blind, she doesn't rely on stuff like eye contact or reading miniscule facial expression in conversation, etc., she perceives other people through sounds, smells and sensory feelings, so unlike people with sight, there is no difference in a way she interacts with invisible person vs visible one.
Also for a show this chill there is a surprising amount of lore about functioning of multispecies society sprinkled through the season, and being an invisible person basically informs lots of things in Tounome as a person, from his fears and insecurities to his fashion sense.
| Quote: | | I'm glad these last two episodes were the best animated of the season. While not as artfully directed as last week, this finale had phenomenal character animation and comedic timing. Everyone felt expressive, full of life and just plain charming which is the perfect word I would use to describe this show. |
Yeah, it was such a pleasant surprise, especially episode 11. Highly unusual for a low profile show with otherwise modest production quality to go all out near the end of the season.
