I can't wait for this one, I have read all the translated chapters of the manga. I hope it is legally available.
But I have to say it, the title is misleading, maybe they are right about the stepmother, but the sisters they are not the main character's stepsisters, they are her half sisters. |

The premiere was similar to Cat Dragon in that it felt like a complete special. It is thankfully not because I had a dumb smile on my face for most of the episode. It is a joy to see Miya get to enjoy life after having experiences a loss and a lot of harsh years. It is also fun to see her new family smash all those evil step family tropes to bits. Given the opening I am not worried about it becoming repetitive since the cast seems pretty big. The only thing I wonder about is her grandmother and if the stepmother/mommy is right about her. |

While the review calling this a one trick pony couldn't be more true, I kind of had the opposite reaction to the trick. They're so deliberately and blatantly doing the same exact joke over and over again that it felt like watching someone go for a wacky dare or Guinness record or something. Like, okay he's already put five live frogs in his mouth now, surely he can't fit an... oh nope there goes number six. But there has to be a limit, you can't keep doing the same thing over and over forOH MY GOD THAT ONES HUGE!!! There's no way... oh I guess there is.

Well I love this series. It is so cute, it is funny, a nice escape. Though I have to correct the series, they are not her step sisters, they are her half sisters. They all have the same father.

I wonder if the story of Cinderella exists in this universe? Most likely it does, so a Cinderella play would be awesome. I love anime when they do a Cinderella play. They are more interesting new characters to come, so I say this as a manga knowing that.
Not only anime series maybe animated series as well, the 2003 Strawberry Shortcake cartoon for example. (the part when the step sisters break character, but I know I am getting way off topic) |
