I think anime could last forever if people are dedicated to it and love it enough for it to stay around. I definitely know that it isn't leaving now because the anime era has just started for the U.S. and won't end. The number of people who like anime has went up more in the past 10 years than in its life in the U.S. Hopefully anime will never end.

I do agree that it is a pointles question. But as of a couple years ago there was concern about anime dying out in Japan as people were becoming disinterested. The penetration of anime in other markets like Europe and especially North America has revitalized teh anime industry. As long as people keep interested and buying anime the market should flourish. Asking if anime will ever die off is like asking if TV will ever die off. With an international market someone will always be interested. |
