Naruto 13 has been on the USA booklist for the past two weeks in the top 50 (specifically it was at 25 last week and 30 this week). How come ANN isn't posting this in the News section anymore? They posted a story when the last FullMetal Alchemist made the rank of 148 or something like that. Is it just a given now that every volume of Naruto is going to score high or something?

It's not that--it's just that there's a sizeable number of people here who are sick of hearing about Naruto.

I think that you probably hit on the head with that comment. News has got to be news, and if ANN started to clutter the news section with stuff people really didn't care about that would degrade the section and the integrity of them reporting important stuff. With other series topping the charts though proves that manga is on the rise, and I think thats probably why they report other manga thats new to the charts.

By that logic, all NYC news programs should stop reporting when people get killed, 'because it happens every day, so it's a given. Actually, I would like it if they followed that reasoning.

Someone's life is probably more important than Naruto, so that's sort of not a good analogy. It would be more similar to headlines that say "New Harry Potter Book Sells an Assload of Copies" to which everyone would say "nooo, REALLY?!?! >O Of course it did, it's Harry Freaking Potter! Tell us something we did not know!!!!" It's only really news if something does well, then suddenly does badly. Or if something becomes really popular all of a sudden. If Naruto has been scoring consistently well, it's not particularly newsworthy every time that happens unless there's something newsworthy about the number of times (new record for number of weeks above a certain ranking for manga, etc).
