Have you seen a good anime parody in a while?
Some of the memorable ones make fun of Death Note.
If you search youtube you could probably find "Debu Note(Fat Note)" and "School Note." I lol'd when I saw these

Look for: Nescaflowne

Essentially, Escaflowne mixed in with the Coffee Industry. Laughing Twisted Evil

"Breath Note" and "Casey and Friends" both come to mind as well...both are parodies of what 4Kids and their editting would do if they ever got their hands on Death Note and Higurashi, respectively.

I can't believe that Eva ReDeath[/url] hasn't been mentioned yet. First time I saw it at AUSA back in 2004, I literally couldn't breathe for five minutes; it was just too funny. Quality sucks in this format, but it's out there on YouTube somewhere.

I've been looking for this one for quite some time now; no luck.

I've also heard about Fanboy Bebop (sp?), but haven't seen it myself.

EDIT:
A link for the Casey & Friends version of Higurashi.

Yeah, Eva Redeath is awesome. I love Gendo's theme song. Anime hyper

I honestly need to watch more of that Naruto abridged series... Sasuke's explanation for why he really hates his brother was all too hilarious.

The first thing that came to mind is The Powerpuff Girls (American version). They DID parody anime (with the character design). That's why I hate 'em.

I had the great fortune of seeing Nescaflowne at a con several year ago, and it is hi-freakin-larious!!! (I still have the stickers they passed out at showing, with the Esca characters spliced into coffee company logos... Star-bach Empire... *snickers*)

My understanding is that Fanboy Bebop, Eva ReDeath, and Nescaflowne are all made by the same guy... and that he never put his flims on the internet for the believe that a a paraody should be a convention experience. Which is a shame, as attendees at my con have been clamoring for those other flims, and no one can get ahold of him to get him to come back! Crying or Very sad

Anyway... for easier-to-find paraody, try This is Otakudom (a Spinal-Tap-esque mockumentary about attendees to Otakon, set to Fushigi Yuugi clips) and anything by the Custodians of Otakudom. Their movies- Anime Jackass, Anime Jackass 2, and Super Fanboy Attack- are actually live-action, but still quite funny. Stuff like a guy calling an exterminator for 'a rat-thing' in his basement (Pikachu) and Sailor Moon calling a Teen Help Hotline. Laughing And anime pickup lines. Can't forget the pickup lines.

I've seen all three over here at Anime Central. At the same time, I remember of a "preview" for an Inuyasha-LOTR hybrid. Year after year, I still look for it.

What a great reason to hate PPG. Rolling Eyes
It was more like a homage to anime, since the creator was inspired by anime influences.

Sarcasm notwithstanding, I pretty much dislike American series. And seing how they made "homage" (parodied) anime with THAT program, it just worsens it. Those 'girls' would be god-modding if this were an RP.

Attention duelists! My hair loves Yugioh the Abridged Series...in America! Very Happy

I also liked Evangelion ReDeath. "I'm gonna party like it's 199--" *world blows up*

There was also a subbed parody for Death Note, but I think YouTube took it down, since it was in complete episode format. I actually thought about this series in class and burst out laughing out of nowhere.

I did find Sailor Moon: The Abridged Series on youtube, and it was hilarious. They really did a great job with dubbing, and there's even a part 2 to this series. Lydia's favorite Wink

I've seen part one. Razz I have quite gotten around to seeing part two yet but I will. And it is very funny...and you forgot to mention the "tribute" to Naruto: The Abridged Series that is in it.
