Cool

Just watched this the other day. I loved it. Alpha is too cute and adorable.

Thought it was a hoot when Alpha and the messenger had to physically connect their data ports and Alpha got embarrased and blushed.

Anyone have any info as to whether this has been liscensed or scheuled to come to US? I would love to have this on DVD. Also anyone know if anymore OVA's are being done? would love to see more of this.

Reminds me of Kiki's delivery Service for the casual fun relaxed atmosphere and very nice music.

Oh yeah, I liked it so much I got the Region 2 DVD of the two episodes of the older series and I bought the R2s of the newer series as they came out. I also have the calendars and some of the manga. It's an absolutely wonderful series, if just a little sad if you think of what happened to the world which the narritive itself only hints at, but you really have to be into "mood" to appreciate this series, otherwise, it's slow as molasses. I appreciate it in the same way most people appreciate Ghibli films, but I like it better than pretty much anything from Ghibli except for maybe Kiki's Delivery Service (though, obviously, technically it's much more primitive, but I don't care so much about animation quality, and the backgrounds are gorgeous).

Studio Proteus has been hinting since about last November that this is a manga series that they'd license shortly, but, so far, no announcements. As for the anime... who knows? I can see it getting licensed by one of the smaller companies like SynchPoint or AnimEigo or AN Entertainment, but, so far, none of them have bit.

EDIT: I have no idea how well the new episodes sold. The official site is a little to nice for me to believe that they didn't have contingency plans in the event the two episodes sold well, but, on the other hand, it hasn't been updated since April. Like Oh My Goddess! (which is printed in the same magazine as YKK in Japan, Afternoon), the manga is so extensive that I wish they'd make a TV series out of it, or, at the very least, a lot more OVA episodes.

Cool

LOL yup I checked the credits after watching the first OVA to see if it was a Ghibli production because it sure felt like it.

I like good animation quality but will take an excellent story and well done characters anyday.

I also would love to see more of YKK. So far I have been greatly impressed.

I think this is one of those titles that will take awhile to make itself known but once it does it will become popular in the US.

YKK is a title that I can show to friends and family and say this is why I watch anime and think it is so great. Nothing offensive and fun to watch.
