The anime, does it take place before or after the playstation games, and how many episodes are there?

Before, and it lasts 26 episodes. The last dvd will have a couple extra episodes, but the main story ends at episode 26.

Its a fairly slow anime though and the games themselves are pretty lengthy (the stories aren't really closely knit though) but its really an amazing story. There was a thread about this not too terribly long ago

This is a brilliantly plotted idea. There is a tv series, manga, OVA, plus 4 (I believe) playstation games that tell the story of the .hack universe.
It Does start with the 26 episode tv series. It then splits the REAL world and cyber world. The REAL world story is carried on by the Liminality OVA, while the Cyber world story is continued by the Infection game. Check out the website at www.dothack.com , which doesn't really give you much info. I don't remember where the Manga comes in...I'm trying to find it.... Ok, the manga (Legend of the Twilight) is the post Awakening story of the Twilight items. There is also going to be an animated version of the same story (Twilight) called .hack//DUSK. There ARE four PS2 games: .hack//infection .hack//mutation .hack//outbreak .hack//quarentine edited for additional info. |
