Ono!!!!
I will trade in my official "anime fandom" card, and watch and read only obscure Bangledeshi cartoons and comics! Additionally, I will become a communist! Psh. "The end?" Please; this is the future, son. And it is bright. |

.....so...is there anything specific I should be looking for here, or is this just some pointless whining & crying episode because "oh no, anime's at Wal-Mart so the world's gonna end!" thing?
Whatever. Though...that "unofficial guide" to Evangelion looks pretty lame. |

Yeah I don't think Wal-Mart carrying anime is a forteller of anything, they've carried a scattered selection for years now.
I'm assuming that the purpose of this thread was to be like, "oh no anime is gaining a more accepted status as a form of popular entertainment. We don't want any outsiders!" Well shucks howdy, thats rather foolish (assuming of course that my previous assumption was correct)
I whole heartedly agree. |

Yeah...the front cover for the guide looks like something out of Gundam, not Evangelion... |

Not exactly. The cover just looks extremely cheap, and I tend to look at any "definitive Evangelion guides" with a significant amount of skepticism. |

Meh...I don't care much for the guide. There's nothing to get excited about, but I think it's good Walmart is selling more titles. The Eva movies for $20...not bad. *been meaning to pick up the re-released movies for a long time*

I feel very sorry for any person who unknowingly picks off one of those dvds off the shelf, and watches it. The movie with knowledge of the series is a doosy enough.
Now if only walmart would get boxsets of series... |
