Now I know most people don't enjoy dubs aside from the original Japanese Dub however have there been any other Dubs of anime that you have enjoyed? (other dubs meaning a dub aside from your native language).
For me a foreign dub I enjoyed of a series was the Tagalog Dub of Naruto. Now I'm not by any means saying the dub was good, in fact it was the opposite. I found the dub to be so bad that I actually enjoyed it. Especially this one line: "Kage Bunshin Technique..........x2 x2 x2!" That and I basically enjoy hearing any anime dubbed in Tagalog. I just find it plain hilarious. |

Tagalog? Um, is that like a fandub, or is it one of those cheap overlays where they turn down the Japanese and talk on top of it as much as they can?
I've seen a lot of Spanish dubs, simply because I speak Spanish pretty fluently and enjoy hearing it in anime. (Cardcaptor Sakura, Fullmetal Alchemist, Trigun, and Bleach I've all heard in Spanish.) None of them are as good as an English or Japanese dub yet. Yet, anyway. But I've heard a few good actors pop up in Spanish dubs. I guess it's more the novelty of seeing how much Spanish I know when I listen than evaluating the performances... Spanish Alphonse from FMA still scares me. If you can find it, you'll know why. Oh god...

No its actually dubbed in Tagalog/Filipino (depending on your preference on being politically correct) and aired in the Philippines. |

No, but I've heard stories of foreign dubs that are amusing. Like the Russian Sailor Moon that they dubbed by turning the sound way down and dubbing over it, so that you can still hear the original voice tracks if you listen good. Then there's the German Naruto which, among other things, edits out *all bladed weapons*. That, I'd like to see, just to see how they try to pull it off.
As a video game fan, I can tell you- American fans yak about editing and unfair government standards, but they have NOTHING on Duetschland. |

The English dub of Ghost in the Shell I felt was very good. They've found voices that fit to the character; Batou has the voice of a big guy that likes to joke, Togusa has the voice of a modest man, and so on. In addition, the voice actors they used can put feeling into thing. The person that voice-acts the Major manages to make "How sadistisc!" sound like she's arroused.
Of couse, I have still to watch the Japanese original (Seeing as dub is used for, you know, a dub I can't say the japanese dub now can I?) for comparison. Although, since the tone of languages are different, I might find it a different experience. Other than that, I don't think the Danish and German dubs of some Miysaki movies I saw once were bad, although Danish allways takes much concentration to understand. Ther German one had to be good though, seeing as I mostly had to follow the plot based on the tone of the language. |

Japanese dubs of course,it's the best of all since it's the original one with the perfect voice acting.But it happened that I watched once Naruto with Arabic dubs and i have to admit that it was so baaadd that i kept laughing the whole day.Everytime I remember that they changed the name of ''Sexy jutsu"'into ''the bloody nose justu''(
,Can you relate?? ),i keep laughing hours and hours!!I thank God that i watched that anime with both English and Frensh dubs which were quit good actually!!  Another thing:when i watch an anime with a foreign dubs that i don't understand such as German or russian,It's even worse not because I only hear BlaBlaBla but also the voice acting seems so strange,yet so funny!!

My sister watched Ghost In The Shell: SAC when she was in Russia. Apparently there was only one voice actor doing all of the characters' voices with the original audio turned down, as BellosTheMighty mentioned.
At one point, so I hear, this "actor" could be heard walking away from the microphone (whilst the characters continued to talk) to get another drink. I am wholeheartedly in favour of maintaining strong Anglo-Russian relations, and as such I do not endorse the notion that the low-quality postproduction techniques described above in any way represent the technological capabilities of the nation as a whole. However my sister did develop an allergy to certain antibiotics as a result of her stay. |

Living in San Diego, I'm able to watch Spanish dubbed episodes of DBZ on Mexican channels and it's actually great fun even though I understand little Spanish, especially with the Spanish dubbed OP and the fact that it's unedited. Too bad the same can't be said about DBZ aired on American television with its lame OP.

This reminds me, my End of Evangelion DVDs are from the Spanish licensor, Selecta Vision so they contain a Spanish dub as well as the original. Since I am not fond of dubs other than the original I have yet to check it but maybe one of these days I will. I did watch a few minutes of a Doreamon episode dubbed in Spanish and it made my ears bleed, everyone's voices were so high pitched that it seemed they used some sort of device to mechanically alter them. Why is anyone's guess, really. With this said, I watched Sailor Moon in the Portuguese dubbed version when it aired here and it is quite good. The only thing that bugs me is why on earth they turned Luna into a male cat. Thankfully they were smart enough to make Artemis a female cat, otherwise it would have been rather odd as the series progresses. |

That's even worse than some french dubs with no more than 3 voice actors for all the characters.

I don't really know english dubs, the only ones I know are those of Dragon Ball Z and Saint Seiya, I really can't stand them.
From what I've heard, english anime dub is worse than french anime dub in general. The problem in France is not voice actors (that are good in general), but adaptation. Most editors don't use good translators  or good voice studios anymore.
Anime has been present in France for more than 30 years, anime used to have good french dubs (sometimes really better than japanese ones) but the level decreased in the 2000s. Then yes, I enjoyed a lot of french dubs: Nobody's Boy Remi, Grimm meisaku gekijô, Mahô no tenshi Creamy Mami, Ai shite Night, the Rose of Versailles... the list would be too long. All the series I watched when I was child. |

Well, I've never seen a French dub of anything but Princess Mononoke and don't speak the language, so I can't compare, but I think America does some wonderful dubs! There are even a few I've heard that I think surpass the Japanese. But, ah, judging based on DBZ is a pretty baaaaaad idea. That dub is...well...yeah. It's bad. It sounds like a toned-down version of South Park on Red Bull sometimes. Ouch. Not all dubs are like that, and besides, DBZ isn't a real high-profile show anyway. There are a lot of really good English dubs, so feel free to not be biased just because your ears were forced to sit through DBZ. (Those actors must need some serious cough drops...) |

I would love to see this dubbed into French, actually; it's such a good anime, and it'd be even better hearing the French characters actually speaking French, and without the Japanese actors stumbling on their names (although the Japanese cast did fairly well, all things considered). |
