Honestly, I hope it doesn't come back. It's clear MTV cannot handle animation in general, much less a serialised anime with an overarching plot. Airing episodes in random order and rearranging their timeslot every other week just about ensures that only the most obsessive MTV2 viewers will be catching any of it.

The only good shows Mtv had was Aeon Flux, Beavis & Butthead, and Celebrity Deathmatch.

There is absolutley no justification for MTV2 airing Heat Guy J or any other Anime series for that matter. Iv'e seen how bad they handled Heat Guy. (they even changed the intro ergo omitting the killa theme song "Face") MTV2 should just stick to airing their lame Road Rules,Real World and maybe, just maybe Rock and Rap videos for a change.
I already have the last volume (finale) of Heat Guy J. The ending was a bit anti-climatic,and somewhat rushed. but nonetheless a good series.

Yes. I agree in casting damnation to the Real World =P.
Though the idea of MTV airing the episodes is horrible, I would like to see a few of the episodes sometime in my life. =/

THey completely destroyed the show by streching out the screen to make it widescreen which distorted the visuals. ALso they didn't advertise it too well and also they changed the time it came on almost every other week. The problem is also it cant get good ratings because not everyone that watches mtv2 is an anime fan. The most absurd thing though is that almost every show that works on mtv really has very little to do with music so they should have put heat guy on mtv not mtv2

Yes, that is true. Mtv did stretch the screen upward to make it full-screen and made them look long. The opening (Face), I didn't even see it aired on there when it came on or maybe it was changed. And I was lost when the episodes were out of order as well...I guess mtv cannot handle anime too well...

Well, I was happy when they were airing Heatguy J, because that's where I first found out about it, and absolutely fell in love with the series. But since then, I've bought some of the DVDs, and some imports at a local store, and I like watching it much more on DVD than MTV. So I say they should keep it off the air for all the reasons that everyone said above too.
