What is the best manga series being published? I just don't want to waste money on titles that will only be read once.

It depends on what you like. Different people think different things are the best.

It's all a matter of opinion. You like action? Adventure, that's up to you. There's no definite answer to the best manga just like there's no best anime.

A good way to find good books is to used the top 10 rated manga list:

Kenshin, Berserk, GTO, Blade of the Immortal

Or look at any best selling books in the U.S.: Naruto, Kenshin, Fruit Basket.

This is blantant promotion of the column...but Right Turn Only's sole purpose is to advise you on what manga you should buy.

And if you want more specific suggestions, you should give either an idea of what you like. There's too much manga out there to just throw out random titles.

I agree with lianncoop. Check out the column, it provides exellentguide for what is currently being published. Of course, it cannot cover all the releases, particuarly the long running ones. Perhapse someone should start a topic concerning these, especially with the possibility of Darkhorse republishing their manga line in the unflopped, cheaper format (its already confirmed for Oh My Goddess!, and the possibility for it happening to Blade of the Immortal is strong, considering its well know that Samura hates that his manga gets flipped).
