There's an inconsistency with how old Shiziku is in the review. In the first paragraph you say she's 14 in the third 15.
By the way lovely review. I haven't seen the film for about 6 years but I might just get the blu-ray now. |

Oops, thanks for the correction, just fixed! According to the Japanese 'This is Animation' book on the film, Shiziku is 14.

Nice review, I didn't realise this was available over here on bluray; Whisper of the Heart is one of my favourite films, so I'll have to get it.
One thing though: her name is Shizuku, not Shiziku.
