Is it a new anime series too or just the OVA?

Am I the only one that thinks the art style for this particular manga is a bit weird???
The feet are so ugly... |

Very weird chara design + epic hardcore martial arts. This franchise is popular for good reasons, didn't expect a new anime or OVA.

The action in this series is top notch, but I think the art style for Baki is an acquired taste. People either don't care or they really, REALLY hate it.

He draws a lot of inspiration from a lot of old Japanese works of art that have feet drawn like that. I dunno if it's a particular artist that drew like that, but you see them feets pop up every now and then. |

I dunno, I like the design.
It's definitely not what you'd expect. Plus, I love the OP song. BRAH! |

I am so glad there is an anime, whether it be full length anime or an ova i will take what i can get. I honestly hope it is a reboot because it can get new fans to the series and be a long running series since so much has happened since the first anime

There's really nothing wrong with the art in my book. Though, that might just my "easily satisfied persona" kicking in again.

The art and story is something that you have to appreciate over time. I remember back when I was going to school and one of my classmates would bring it over, when I first started reading it I thought it was weird, but after reading it more and more I liked it. Now it's one of my favorite series, glad to see it's being brought back for the small screen.
