I need help on the name of a ninja anime. [Dagger of Kamui]

I saw this anime 12 years ago so I apologize if my information on it is not alot because I can't remember it to well. All that I can remember about it is that it had a boy in it who had a scar on his face I think it was across his nose and he was trying to find his mother. Also there was this evil guy who I think trained the boy and he killed everyone the boy met.

Maybe The Dagger of Kamui? Did it look like an older anime?

The Dagger of Kamui thats it. Thank you so much for helping me. The movie left a mark on me because it was so sad and I don't think I saw it all to see if Jiro would get his revenge and be happy. Thanks
