I knew PSYREN was something special by the time I finished the first two chapters. There was just something about the characters, artwork, style, tone and execution that just gave me this feeling of "this is gonna be so good". And I was right.
Not to brag, but I seem to have this innate sense of when a series is gonna turn out to be a big hit, or at least a cult-hit, later on down the road simply by viewing the first installment. When I finished episode one of Madoka Magica, my first thought was "this is gonna be the best anime of the year". Sure enough, it was. I saw episode one of Oreimo, and the first thing I said was "this is gonna get a second season sooner or later, I just know it." Fast-forward to now, and we're waiting on one. I just had this same feeling when reading PSYREN, that "this is gonna be a hit when it comes to America, at least to some extent". Sure enough, check any one manga site and PSYREN is no-doubt gonna be one of the top-viewed series. Honestly, this odd sixth-sense of mine baffles even me. <_< |
