i was surprised when i got the 1st. DVD and i heard one of the robots say hell. i just never heard that out of DB Funimation dubbed, but if you get the Super 17 DVDs uncut you'll notice the word hell in FUNI DBGT being used even more.

Aww...no more HFIL...

Ya know whats funny though? Back in DBZ, mid-Freazia saga, Dende said "Dont piss off the god of love". WHOA! PISS and GOD in the same sentence!? AMAZING!

Maybe funimation is finally improving even in its dragonball dubs. But it's too bad that the first dragonball was the only one where they didn't put new music. They even translated the opening and endings just like in yu yu hakusho.

I realize it's kind of late to be discussing this, but...

All the episodes are numbered wrong.

The problem arises in that "A Grand Problem" isn't really an episode. Therefore, the first Edit List for GT only covers episodes 17-19. (All subsequent Edit Lists for the series give the episodes as one number too high, as well.) For reference, please go to my in-progress DBGT Episode Guide. It's got what you need to know.

So... uh... does anyone want to fix this problem? Confused

no, it says 17-21 and not 16-21. Episode 17 is where they started showing the real episodes.

Normally I wouldn't even reply to this because I personally think GT is the worst of the series and the dub is the most attrocious I've ever heard. But I have to give thumbs up for using the word hell. We haven't heard that in the dub since the good ol' days Pioneer. But there was that one time in DBZ when they got away with saying F*ck on the air and on video. And when Dende said "piss" on the Purunga episode.

You're missing my point: "A GRAND PROBLEM" ISN'T AN ACTUAL EPISODE. Period. It is a creation of the English-language producers; therefore, the numbering that the Edit List is using (which includes it, regardless of which number they assign it) is off.

Thank you and have a good day. Smile

You can actually say that with a straight face? The Entire Series is one big piece of garbage.
