Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger The Movie: Full Blast Action (live-action movie)

Many elements of the film pay homage to Hong Kong action director John Woo and his works. The night club where Ban meets Marie is called "Better Tomorrow", named after the 1986 film A Better Tomorrow. The shootout scenes are heavily patterned after those seen in Woo's films such as 1989's The Killer and 1992's Hard Boiled. Deka Blue's motorcycle scene is inspired by one done by Tom Cruise in the 2000 film Mission: Impossible 2; the virus/vaccine subplot is also taken from that film. Throughout the film, flocks of doves appear in some scenes - a nod to Woo's style of direction.

Azusa Yamamoto and Mio Fukuzumi, who played two of the main villains in the 2002 Super Sentai series Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger, make a cameo appearance as high school students being questioned by Ban and Jasmine.
