Trivia:

The "Zwei" in the title is German for "Two", meaning that it's the second Mai-Otome series. In the opening, the "Z" for Zwei separates from the "乙" from Otome. The term is also used in the series, in reference to the second form of Arika's Azure Sky robes.

The scene where Arika starts running at the start of episode 1 is the same as the ED 1 from the original Mai-Otome

Many people think that Aoi (Mashiro's Maid) and Chie Hallard are more than just friends. A possible indicator that Aoi could swing that way could be Aoi's expression at the end of the bath scene in episode 3 (7:24).
