Hot Topic to Debut Sailor Moon Halloween Costume

The American clothing retail chain Hot Topic posted a behind-the-scenes video featuring costumes for its upcoming Halloween line. Among other new apparel, a glimpse of a Sailor Moon outfit appears at the one minute, 57 second mark of the video. Lingerie company Leg Avenue noted in its official website that it has acquired the license to manufacture a Sailor Moon costume for Hot Topic.
Based on Naoko Takeuchi's 1992 magical girl manga series, Sailor Moon is seeing a resurgence of interest outside Japan. Kodansha USA announced in March that it will publish the Sailor Moon manga and its two-volume predecessor Codename: Sailor V starting this September.
Hot Topic currently sells Sailor Moon-related merchandise exclusively through its online store.
