Toyota Teams Up With Ghost in the Shell For Special Winglet Demo

Toyota gave Ghost in the Shell fans a chance to test-drive their self-balancing Winglet scooter over the weekend at Niconico Chokaigi3. Their "Winglet x Ghost in the Shell Arise ~ border: less driving ~" display showcased a red Winglet inspired by the colors of the Rojikoma in the series, along with a life-size Rojikoma model.
The test-drive event itself featured a special game that asked participants to navigate through an LED-lit course, which also sensed the position of the Winglet. Riders were scored based on precision and speed.
The Winglet is Toyota's answer to the Segway, and is touted as a "personal transport assistance robot."
