Domo Ain't Afraid of No Ghosts

NHK's popular mascot Domo and Ghostbusters are teaming up to take on the supernatural in a new line of character goods for the film's 30th anniversary. Domo will step in as the film's Stay Puft Marshmallow Man for a series of plush toys and collectibles this fall, just in time for Halloween.

The mascot is currently licensed through Big Tent Entertainment, who puts together the mascot's tie-in goods in North America and manage his English Facebook page, Twitter account, Instagram account, and other social media. Big Tent premiered 20 shorts starring the mascot on Veoh in 2008.

Dark Horse Comics also promoted Domo with vinyl figures and other items. Also in 2008, the TARGET chain of American retail stores recruited Domo as its mascot for its Halloween costume campaign. In 2009, the 7-11 chain of convenience stores offered a limited-edition Domo-branded Slurpee drink.
