Yugioh For HoloLens, a project created by software developer General Heed (also known as Generalkidd on YouTube) has entered the pre-alpha stage and both footage and screenshots have been posted on the developer's blog. The project uses the tool Microsoft HoloLens, Microsoft's virtual reality headset, to project holograms ofYu-Gi-Oh! cards and monsters. The goal is to create a full 3-D card game experience.
General Heed has also posted a screenshot preview of the next update which will include a Yu-Gi-Oh! card game mat environment.
Below are some reactions from Japanese fans posted on the website Otakumu:
- "It's caught up with reality."
- "Summon Dark Magician Girl!"
- "This production is the final end goal of a card game."
General Heed is currently taking donations for the project on his blog. He has also posted that any software developers or 3D modelers that would like to help with this project are welcome.
