Asuna, Kirito, Sinon Computer Glasses Keep Enemies in Focus

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Anime News Network's merchandise coverage sponsored by Tokyo Otaku Mode.

Tokyo Otaku Mode's ongoing Sword Art Online exclusive merchandise campaign is adding weapon-themed computer glasses for fans worldwide. The glasses are designed after the most powerful weapons used by popular characters Kirito, Asuna, and Sinon in the series.

Tokyo Otaku Mode is focusing on modern style frames featuring either Kirito's Elucidator and the Dark Repulser swords, Asuna's Lambent Light sword, or Sinon's Hecate II rifle.

The Kirito frames are asymmetrical but are adjusted so that the glasses are balanced on the wearer's face. Kirito's Black Knight outfit details are also added in silver on the end pieces. A cleaning cloth featuring Kirito's silhouette is included along with a black case.

The Asuna design features thin temples to represent her rapier and scabbard. An enamel jewel glitters on the glasses' guard. Like the Kirito Model, a motif from Asuna's Knights of the Blood guild outfit is featured in silver on the end pieces, which allow the two models to match. The Asuna Model will be delivered with a red case with a cleaning cloth that features her silhouette.

The Sinon Model is locked and loaded with Sinon's Hecate II that served her well in Gun Gale Online game within the Phantom Bullet arc. The barrel, the scope, the stock, and all the metallic details of Hecate II are replicated in this model. The colors were chosen to match Sinon's outfit in the Phantom Bullet arc. The Sinon Model will be delivered in a blue case that matches the color of Sinon's hair along with a cleaning cloth that features her silhouette.

Each frame costs 17,100 yen (US$152) and are estimated to ship in December.
