Fate/Grand Order iOS Version Falls Out of Top 50 Sales Ranking For 1st Time Since Release
posted on by Kim Morrissy
Fate/Grand Order makes a monstrous amount of money, having grossed over US$3 billion worldwide as of March 2019. However, for the first time the mobile game service is experiencing a significant dip in sales on the iOS platform. According to AppAnnie data, Fate/Grand Order's sales ranking on the Japanese App Store has fallen to 59th place as of June 2, marking the first time the game has fallen outside the top 50.
The dip happened very recently and abruptly. It fell from #1 on May 26 to #59 on June 2. Fluctuation in sales tend to occur during the ending and beginning of months, when mobile games usually launch new policies. Fate/Grand Order recovered to #37 by the next day, and the ranking is expected to climb back even further.
Fate/Grand Order first launched on the iOS at a no. 47 sales ranking.
Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada in June 2017. Fate/Grand Order will receive TV anime and film projects. Last year, the game celebrated 14 million downloads.
