Manga Entertainment has announced via its facebook page that it will release Fairy Tail Part 1 on March 5 next year.
Fairy Tail is an ongoing television anime based on Hiro Mashima's manga of the same name, following the adventures of the world's most notorious mage guild, Fairy Tail.
Manga first announced that it had licensed Fairy Tail this January, at which time it said it hoped it would start the DVD release before the end of 2011. In April, Manga tweeted that it would release the first 12 episodes of the series in February 2012.
A-1 Pictures and Satelight launched the anime in October of 2009. Del Rey published the 12th volume of the original manga in North America last year, and Kodansha resumed publishing the manga with the 13th volume this year.
This August, Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine confirmed that the television anime version would continue into its third year. The third year will begin with the "Tenrōjima" story arc.
