The inaugrial issue of Shinchosha's women's fashion magazine ROLa will include an interview with Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon creator Naoko Takeuchi on August 1. The interview will be Takeuchi's first in 11 years; her last published interview was in 2002 in Figure Ō magazine from World Photo Press.

Sailor Moon fan Shōnen Aya will conduct the interview, which includes information on the "birth" of Sailor Moon, Takeuchi's struggles with her editor, the surprising inspiration for Tuxedo Mask, and Takeuchi's favorite episodes.

The Sailor Moon series is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. A new anime adaptation was planned to premiere this summer but Fumio Osano, the Sailor Moon manga's Kodansha editor who is known by his nickname "Osabu," confirmed that it is delayed.
