The May issue of Dengeki Bunko Magazine is announcing on Thursday that A Certain Magical Index (Toaru Majutsu no Index) light novel author Kazuma Kamachi will publish a new "traditional" series under the Dengeki Bunko novel imprint. The magazine did not specify when the new series will start.

Kamachi will publish the 10th volume of Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index on May 10. A Certain Magical Index's overall franchise has inspired two television anime series, an anime film, and A Certain Scientific Railgun and A Certain Scientific Railgun S spinoff anime series. Funimation has licensed the anime series, film, and spinoffs for release in North America.

The magazine also announced that a special site will celebrate the 10th anniversary of Kamachi's professional debut with messages contributed by illustrators, animators, and other creators who have worked with him. A Certain Magical Index illustrator Kiyotaka Haimura will publish his second art collection this summer, "and more" announcements are to come.
