System and both games will ship on Friday in N. America, Europe

Nintendo began streaming two ads on Monday for its New Nintendo 3DS XL handheld console, which ships on Friday in Europe and North America. The ads preview Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, both of which will ship on the same day and are also playable on Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 3DS XL.

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will also get a GameStop-exclusive New Nintendo 3DS XL special edition that bundles the game.

Nintendo also streamed an instruction video for transferring data from a Nintendo 3DS systes to the New Nintendo 3DS using a PC.

The New Nintendo 3DS offers a new analog c-stick, new "ZL" and "ZR" shoulder buttons, a faster processor, near-field communication (NFC) support, and a larger screen with improved 3D support. The system launched in Japan on October 11, and an "Ambassador Edition" was offered to Club Nintendo members in Europe in January. The regular edition, which will ship in Europe but not North America, also offers changeable front and back plates, but the XL does not.

The system will retail for US$199.99, but will not come with an AC adapter, as it is compatible with Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo DSi adapters.
