Tekkonkinkreet Director Guest at MCM London Comic Con

The latest issue of Neo magazine reports that Michael Arias (director of Tekkonkinkreet, pictured) will be a guest at the MCM London Comic-Con, held on May 27 to 29 at the Excel Centre.
Arias will attend a panel on the Saturday (May 28). As well as directing Tekkonkinkreet, Arias was responsible for the film's storyboard, story editing and CGI animation. More recently, he co-directed the science-fiction film Harmony, made by Studio 4°C. Arias's other credits include producing all the episodes of The Animatrix, and handling the CG for its two-part segment, Second Renaissance.
In addition, there will be two guests related to Gundam: The Origin: the mecha designer Mika Akitaka and the producer Osamu Taniguchi. Neo mentions that Gundam: The Origin 'will have its EU premiere screening at the event.' (While Neo doesn't specify which episode will be screened, the second Gundam: The Origin episode was already screened at MCM London Comic-Con in October 2015. The third episode, Dawn of Rebellion, will have its first Japanese cinema screenings in May.)
