Live-Action Ghost in the Shell Earns US$2.4 Million in 3rd Weekend

The Box Office Mojo film news website has estimated that Paramount Pictures' live-action Ghost in the Shell film earned US$2,400,000 at the United States box office in its third weekend of Friday-Sunday. The film has an estimated total gross of US$37,023,283 in the United States, and ranked #11 for the weekend. The third weekend gross is about a 67.2% drop in earnings from the film's second weekend.
The film earned US$18,676,033 in its debut weekend in the United States. The global total for the film is estimated at US$152,123,283 as of Sunday.
Entertainment news website Deadline reported earlier this month that the film is tracking with at least a US$60 million loss.
Lionsgate's new Power Rangers film earned an estimated US$2,850,000 in its fourth weekend, ranking #8. The film has now earned an estimated US$80,563,748 domestically, with a worldwide total of US$128,263,748.
