Game launches Friday for PS Vita; enhanced version headed to PS4, PC this fall

Aksys Games began streaming trailer for its Tokyo Xandau PlayStation Vita game on Friday to correspond with the game's Western release on PS Vita. The trailer showcases the characters fighting enemies using different weapons and techniques.

Nihon Falcom's Tokyo Xanadu game shipped for PlayStation Vita in Japan in September 2015.

Aksys Games describes the game as follows:

10 years ago, a colossal earthquake devastated Tokyo and changed the lives of its inhabitants forever. The city has since been rebuilt and life has slowly returned to a semblance of normalcy. However, behind the veil of this newly rebuilt metropolis lies another world, one with a sinister secret. The earthquake that originally destroyed Tokyo was actually caused by the emergence of a mysterious and lethal shadow world known as Eclipse. Now, action must be taken to thwart the legions of Eclipse and ensure the protection of peace!

The limited edition release for the PS Vita game includes a Morimaru plush, a Blade card game deck, a 60-page art book, a CD soundtrack, and a collector's box.

Aksys Games will also release Tokyo Xanadu EX+, the enhanced version of Tokyo Xanadu, for PlayStation 4 and PC in North America in fall 2017.
