Game runs Facebook campaign, offers 5-star Berserker Sakata Gintoki

Aniplex USA announced on Thursday that the English version of the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game has reached 1 million downloads. To celebrate the milestone, the game will offer the 5-star Berserker-class Servant Sakata Gintoki for the first time.

In addition, Aniplex USA will give out more prizes now that a Facebook post has reached more than 10,000 Likes and 2,000 shares. Players can also receive prizes if they log in for 13 consecutive days from September 7 to 21.

Aniplex released the Fate/Grand Order smartphone game in Japan in summer 2015 and it has been downloaded more than 9 million times. The game received an English release in the United States and Canada on June 25. The game received more than 100,000 downloads in the first 12 hours after launching.

A 74-minute television anime based on the game titled Fate/Grand Order: First Order aired in Japan on December 31. Aniplex of America, Crunchyroll, and Daisuki streamed the special the same day. Aniplex of America will release the special on Blu-ray Disc in North America on October 24 with Japanese and English audio.

The franchise also inspired a stage play that ran from July 14-17 at the Zepp Blue Theater in Roppongi, Tokyo. Additionally, two manga adaptations are in the works. Fate/Grand Order -mortalis:stella- launched in Ichijinsha's Monthly Comic Zero-Sum magazine on July 28, and Fate/Grand Order -turas realta- launched in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on August 9.

Type-Moon is working with Aniplex, Delight Works Inc., and Sega to launch the Fate/Grand Order Arcade game in Japanese arcades next year. A Fate/Grand Order VR feat. Mash Kyrielight PlayStation VR game will launch in winter 2017.
