Konda Teru no Gōhō Recipe Manga About Gourmet-Loving Gangster Gets Live-Action Series

The official website for Kodansha's Shōnen Magazine R announced on December 6 that a live-action series adaptation of Isuke Mada's Konda Teru no Gōhō Recipe (Teru Konda's Legal Recipe) has been green-lit. The series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video in spring 2018. Tadaaki Hōrai (live-action Kodoku no Gourmet) is directing the series. Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine will reveal the main cast on January 6.
The manga centers on gourmet-loving high school student Teru Konda, who is also a newly minted gangster of the Shimofuriniku-gumi yakuza group. He takes inspiration from yakuza life and puts it into his cooking, such as crafting a pasta dish that he associated with a man being tied up with rope.
The manga launched in Kodansha's Shōnen Magazine R in 2015. Kodansha published the manga's fifth compiled book volume on November 16.
