Seven Deadly Sins Stage Play's Cast Visuals Unveiled

Takeru Naya, Minami Umezawa, Shōtarō Arisawa, Kasumi Hasegawa, Naoki Saitou, more star in August play

The official website for the stage play of Nakaba Suzuki's The Seven Deadly Sins manga revealed a new visual and character visuals for the stage play on Saturday. The new visual (seen below) features more characters compared to the previous visual.

The cast, with their character visuals, include:

Ryō Kitamura as Gowther

The play will run from August 3 to August 12 at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo, and from August 18 to August 20 at Umeda Arts Theater Dramacity in Osaka. Nobuhiro Mōri (Hakuōki, Black Butler stage plays) is directing and writing the script.

The new season of the anime, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments (Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu), premiered in Japan in January and is ongoing.

Nakaba Suzuki's original manga inspired a 24-episode television anime series that aired in 2014 and 2015. Netflix later streamed the series with both English and Japanese audio, and Funimation released the series in two parts on home video. A four-episode television anime special titled The Seven Deadly Sins -Signs of Holy War- then premiered in August 2016. Netflix began streaming the series in February 2017. An anime film titled Gekijōban Nanatsu no Taizai Tenkū no Torawarebito (The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky) will premiere on August 18.
