Monster Hunter: World, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Pokemon Go, More Win at CBS' Inaugural Gamers Choice Awards

Super Mario Party also voted as Fan Favorite Family-Friendly Multiplayer Game
CBS' inaugural Gamers' Choice Awards announced its winners on Sunday. The following awards were given to Japanese-developed games:
- Fan Favorite Fighting Game: DragonBall FighterZ
- Fan Favorite Family-Friendly Multiplayer Game: Super Mario Party
- Fan Favorite Role-Playing Game: Monster Hunter: World
- Fan Favorite Mobile Game: Pokémon GO
Additionally, Super Mario Bros. won the Fan Favorite Retro Game award, and the game series' titular character Mario won the Fan Favorite Retro Character award.
CBS claimed that the Gamers' Choice Awards was the first video game awards show to be shown on a broadcast network in the United States. The awards are based on fan votes.
