Persona 5 The Royal Game Revealed With Videos for October 31 Launch in Japan

Atlas revealed on Wednesday that the Persona 5 franchise's Persona 5 The Royal role-playing game will launch for PlayStation 4 in Japan on October 31. The game will launch in the Americas and Europe in 2020. Atlus began streaming the first promotional video for the game, and Atlus USA began streaming an English teaser trailer.
The game will feature the new character Kasumi Yoshizawa (voiced by Sora Amamiya), and the new confidant character Takuto Maruki (voiced by Satoshi Hino). The game will reveal the untold third school semester and have new school life and phantom life content. New features will also include Status Assist, more songs, and enhanced graphics with PlayStation 4 Pro support.
Persona 5 shipped for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in Japan on September 15, 2016. The game shipped in North America on April 4, 2017 after a delay. The game features animation sequences from the Production I.G studio.
The 26-episode television anime series based on Atlus' Persona 5 role-playing game premiered in April 2018 and aired through September. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired.
A special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun, aired on December 30. Crunchyroll is streaming the first special. The show's second special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours, aired in March. The anime's 11th home video release, which will ship on May 29 in Japan, will include both PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun and an unaired episode.
Atlus will reveal more information on Thursday about its Persona 5 project labeled "P5S."
