Voice actress Yui Ishikawa (Attack on Titan's Mikasa, Girlish Number's Koto, Violet Evergarden's Violet) announced on her official blog on Tuesday that she has left Sunaoka Creative Artist Agency.
Ishikawa joined the affiliated Himawari Theatre Group for children more than 23 years ago. Ishikawa said, "Of course it feels lonely and scary to leave a place that's like a second home." "Honestly, I don't know what will happen. No matter how I fall down, it's my own responsibility," she added. However, Ishikawa explained, "It's because I was in the same place for so long that I want to try to see the world one step outside."
Ishikawa said that the announcement will be her final update on her blog that started in 2007. She is currently making preparations so that she can provide future announcements through social media. Ishikawa plans to continue her career as before.
Ishikawa's anime roles also include Aikatsu!'s Hinaki, A Silent Voice's Miyoko, Qualidea Code's Canaria, and Devils' Line's Tsukasa. She has contributed theme songs for Attack on Titan: Junior High, Heroic Age, and Girlish Number.
