Japan's Biggest Award-Winning VR Game Studio Has Announced New Title, 'Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate'

TOKYO – July 19, 2021 – MyDearest Inc, one of the leading VR game developers in Japan with a passion for unconventional storytelling, has announced its latest VR game project, DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate. MyDearest has launched a website and a teaser trailer for the new game.

MyDearest has developed VR games including 2019's TOKYO CHRONOS and 2020's ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos. The latter was the best-rated paid app on the Oculus Quest Store two months in a row, winning several renowned game awards in Japan. Although DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate isn't a sequel to these two titles, the world it takes place in is connected to the “Chronos Universe.”

The teaser site for the game features a text entry field below the phrase “Enter the Keyword”. If a user enters specific words, a surprise effect will be activated. The teaser trailer and website indicate there are more hidden elements to be discovered.

DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate has opened an official Twitter account. To celebrate its launch, MyDearest is holding a special sweepstakes. Participants have a chance to win an Oculus Quest 2 or Amazon Gift Cards by following the Twitter account, liking the sweepstakes post, and retweeting it. The sweepstakes will be held until 23:59, July 31 (PDT).
