Asobu Indie Showcase Returns to Highlight The Best of Japanese Indie Gaming

Video To Premiere On YouTube and Twitch July 30, Showcasing Upcoming and Current Japanese (and Overseas) Indie Games & Exclusive Announcements

Corresponding Steam Event To Feature Demos And Sales July 30 - Aug. 5

TOKYO, JAPAN – July 26, 2022 – Japanese indie game creator community asobu today announced they will premiere their third-annual asobu INDIE SHOWCASE in English and Japanese on Twitch and YouTube this weekend, on July 30th, shining a spotlight on current and upcoming titles from Japanese indie developers. The video also features localized Western indies already available or coming soon to Japan, promoting indie games to a growing Japanese market where they continue to gain momentum, just ahead of Japan's largest indie gaming event, BitSummit the following week. A matching Steam Event page will gather demos and highlight sales on current and future Japanese indies, starting at the premiere of the video on July 30th, and running until August 5th.

Clocking in at over two hours and packed with over 80 different games, all introduced in both Japanese and English, along with messages from the games' creators themselves (and a few surprises), the video demonstrates the volume and variety of the vibrant Japanese indie dev community that asobu is working to support.
