LOS ANGELES - November 14, 2025 - Today, NEXON announced MapleStory's huge 2025 Winter game update, “Every Little Thing Every Precious Thing,” which includes quality-of-life upgrades and the new playable character, Ren, the Red-Eyed Wanderer. With updates geared towards making the game smoother, fairer and more rewarding for existing and new players, the “Every Little Thing Every Precious Thing” update welcomes players to rediscover what makes MapleStory so special and precious.
Continually evolving over two decades, MapleStory is seeing a slate of updates and improvements to the core gameplay and systems. These changes include:
Lv. 3 Link Skills – All jobs now support Level 3 Link Skills.
Equipment Acquisition Support – Improved equipment restoration from hunting and boss missions.
Starforce System Revamp – Improved overall enhancement experiences
Item Growth Support – New equipment rental and streamlined growth systems.
Familiar System Improvements – Revamped UI, added to character presets, and easier management.
Multiple Character Growth Support – Faster progression across multiple characters.
System Convenience – Faster auction relisting, event favorites and more
The newest Warrior-class character to join the MapleStory roster is Ren, the Red-Eyed Wander. Embarking on a journey across Grandis to fulfill a friend's final wish, Ren brings her distinct playstyle that emphasizes fluid combat using the Plum Blossom Sword and the Imugi Gem. When the two energies unite, Ren can unleash powerful skills, such as Rising Azure Dragon: Divided Heavens. Her main stat is Strength (STR).
To support the growth of this new character, several Ren-exclusive progression events are included, such as Wanderer's Travelogue, which grants character growth items for completing milestone missions, and Tracks of the Wanderer, which offers a variety of cosmetic rewards.
For a limited time, a set of exciting events will give players the opportunity to quickly boost experience and acquire new items. The Blazing Start Events are major growth and progression events that help both new and veteran players power up faster with Challenger World, Hyper Burning MAX, Item Burning, Burning Beyond, and more—offering boosted experience rates, milestone rewards, and dynamic gear upgrades up to level 270 and more.
New to "Every Little Thing Every Precious Thing," the Twilight Eve Festival is a limited-time seasonal event taking place in Evernia. Players take part in rituals to hasten the return of Chronica, the Transcendent of Time. Completing daily and special event missions rewards players with items such as the Twilight Eve Chair, Fairy Heart Coupon, and powerful growth potions. There's also a Super Tutorial Event for new players playing MapleStory this winter.
On December 17, the 2nd Winter Season update will take place. This upcoming update will include the new HEXA Skills, the Ascent Skill the debut of a new boss called the First Adversary, and the introduction of Mystic Frontier system-a Global MapleStory-exclusive feature where players can send familiars on missions for valuable rewards.
