HYPERSENSITIVE (THE MANGA ALBUM)
A 176-Page, 15-Chapter One-Shot Manga Paired With a 15-Track Music Album, Out February 18 TOKYO, JAPAN - February 16, 2026 - Independent musician Tobias Dray and Japanese mangaka ohuton announce the release of Hypersensitive (The Manga Album), a multimedia debut launching February 18, 2026. Digital editions are available at launch; physical copies are limited to 1,000 units and ship in March.
Hypersensitive is a manga album, the first of its kind. A 176-page one-shot manga in which each of its 15 chapters is paired with a corresponding original song. The two mediums are designed to be experienced together, the music and art forming a single unified narrative rather than two separate works.
The manga is drawn entirely by ohuton, whose previous works include Seaside Beta and BUNBUN To The Blue. The music is written and performed by Tobias Dray, marking his debut album.
At its core, Hypersensitive is a story about loneliness and the quiet transformation of loneliness into aloneness. The project explores what it means to sit with yourself, to move through isolation not as something to escape, but as something to understand.
Correction Note: An earlier report indicated that mangaka Akeji Fujimura was attached to the project. Plans have since changed, ohuton is the sole graphic artist behind the manga, having illustrated all 176 pages of the final work.

ABOUT OHUTON: ohuton is a Japanese mangaka known for intimate, delicate visual storytelling. Previous works include the manga Seaside Beta and the picture book Dear Sara, 1997, Summer. Hypersensitive is their first international collaboration.
