There are entries for: Hirose Idumi (31628) Hirose Izumi (30328) person#31628 person#30328 Idumi is correct if you romanize いづみ using the Nihon system. Izumi is correct if you romanize using the Hepburn system. That's why category "Also known as" existed. They are listed in the ED credits in different ways, and in order to clarify that they are the same person, we have to keep those names, even if the difference is very little. By the way, don't trust ED credits 100%. I've seen they've made translation mistakes, especially when the kanji name of a seiyuu or staff member can be pronounced either in onyomi or kunyomi (most common in single-character given name). |

Carolyn Keranen (#8519) and Carolyn Elizabeth (#23298) are the same person. Carrie Keranen's website lists some roles done under Carolyn Elizabeth. Don't know for sure which one should be the main name ("Elizabeth" might be a married name), but the official website has the Keranen name, so I'd put that as the main name.

Sho-u Tajima
and Shou Tajima (which, btw, should be Shouu Tajima... yeah yeah) and Aki Tajima (misreading of kanji, I suppose?) are the same person. Regarding Aki Tajima, proof that he (who is listed as character designer for Kaidomaru) is actually Shou Tajima comes from Production I.G.'s english site with official romanizations which lists Shou Tajima as Character Design. Furthermore, NTV's official site for Otogizoushi (Japanese Flash site) would tell you he first came across PRoduction I.G. for work on the OVA Kaidomaru. Speaking of that site, nobody's seemed to have made this major change: Mizuho Nishikubo (Miyuki series director, Otogizoushi director, Video Girl Ai director) is the same person as Toshihiko Nishikubo (Animation Director for GITS, Sequence Director for Innocence:GITS, Series Director for Shurato) Mizuho is the real name. Proof of this: The NTV site for Otogizoushi (Japanese Flash site) would tell you, at the bottom of the Staff section, that Mizuho Nishikubo, director of Otogizoushi (Just to drive in the fact that we're talking about the same person here), was also director of Tenkuu Senki Shurato. The only person who directed Tenkuu Senki Shurato according to ANN was Toshihiko Nishikubo. It is highly likely just from this that they are the same person. I doubt an official site would mess up. But here's the one that hits the nail in the coffin. If you can read Japanese that site would explicitly tell you that Mizuho Nishikubo took part in the production of GITS and Innocence:GITS with the name of Toshihiko Nishikubo. (Which I am aware is a male name, but I've heard of people use pseudonyms of the opposite gender.) I'm dead sure it has to be the same person. I did add in information under Toshihiko Nishikubo that "his" real name is Mizuho Nishikubo but I don't think that's enough. So sue me. Yeah, and guess who's been nerdishly overpopulating the Otogizoushi page with information galore... |
