MipTV Tradeshow News (03:34 PM EDT): About a week ago we were told to keep an eye out for some interesting Geneon news to come out of the MipTV tradeshow in France, which is one of the many shows throughout the year where new series, properties and licenses are looked at, promoted, bought and sold and all that fun stuff. Thanks to an extremely reliable source, we've got three pieces of news that as far as I can tell can be called exclusives here: One: Geneon Entertainment (USA) is involved in a new Hellsing OVA series. No number of episodes is listed but they're talking 35 minutes per episode and based on actual manga material. Two: Geneon Entertainment (USA) has the new Manglobe series called Ergo Proxy by Shukou Murase. It is listed as 23 episode with Murase as director and Dai Sato as the writer. Three: Geneon Entertainment (USA) has acquired the rights to the Erementar Gerad anime series. This was previously announced as an ADV Films license back on 02/18/2004 due to their name showing up in the production credits via the Moon Phase site but this information supercedes that. |

I know the creator doesn't want to create an animation for beserk. The creator said something about not enough materials for a show.

OVA usually equal to 2 to 4 episode. That's a bad thing
But OVA has no limit on tv censoriing or editing, so they can include any hardcore violence stuff they want. That's a good thing. On the other hand, Ergo Proxy (like champloo) is pre-license. Animation done by manglobe (samurai champloo) and directed by Murase, who created and directed Witch Hunter Robin. Eh, this series will probably be a lot better than the Hellsing OVA. |

Cool, cool, new Hellsing. So...I suppose after THE RETCON TO END ALL RETCONS where they pretend half of the first TV series never happened, they'll get up to where the manga's left off in the Millennium Arc, get stuck for an ending again, and then revive Incognito for one more romp in The Garden of Crap.
It's not...it's not too obvious I have little faith in this project, is it? |

Wow thats great I have been waiting forever for a new hellsing series to come out. It was the first anime I have ever seen.
