I want to watch a recent Anime series but I don't know which Anime series to start on. Give me advice! I like either romantic comedy or darkand deep anime series.

Rozen maiden, ---------- darkand deep
Aishiteruze baby, ---------- romantic comedy
Tsukuyomi ~MoonPhase~, ---- little of both
Kannaduki no Miko, -------- bit of both (stay with it)
Futakoi Alternative ---------- Romantic Comedy
DearS, ----------------- romantic comedy
Hitsuji no Uta , ------------- darkand deep
Sukisyo(yaoi) ------------- both (give this kind of show a chance)

Some series that are being fansubbed right now:

Speed Grapher - dark and bloody, about a guy spoiler[who kills with his camera.]

Gakuen Alice - shoujo, comedy (very funny!!, I find Very Happy ), about a school spoiler[where everyone has "special abilities".]

However I've only seen the first 4 episodes or so, because the fansubbing is still in process. So don't bite my head off if it's total crap at the end. Anime smile + sweatdrop

I recently bought Vol.1 of "Scrapped Princess", the first 4 episodes were very entertaining and funny, planning on getting the next Vol. as well, when it finally gets released.

oh, and the DUB was PERFECT too!!! Very Happy

If you want romantic comedy, wait until Kodocha comes out. I've yet to see it, but the comics were excellent and it looks very promising.

Well, I just finished gankustou so I'm going to recommend it to you. It’s an amazing series, really just amazing. It's everything you could ever want in an anime, or a story... they really should adapt more literary classics to anime.
