Yeah the story picks up. Personally I think the arguing is funny. But if you wanna see action, just wait till Full Metal Panic TSR! OMG its gonna be sweet when it comes to the US!

The last half of FMP gets more action pact and Sosuke and Kaname's relation deepens. Also watch Full Metal Panic! Fumouffu? It's good as well.

I second that. Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid is more action packed that the first 2 series. Fumoffu is more of the comedic side of the Full Metal Panic world as opposed to The Second Raid. The Second Raid is more serious for the most part of the series. Though The Second Raid won't be the end as it will still leave many questions unanswered.

In my view, the "stupid bickering" between Sousuke and Kaname is one of the things that bring FMP above the standard "high school kids, giant robots" genre. Fumoffu is a "sort of sequel"; while it has some action to it, it mainly focuses on the high school/love comedy aspects of the series. TSR is definitely more serious and action packed, with far less of Kaname and the high school world than even the first season, let alone Fumoffu. More than enough giant robots and killing for anyone.

I would say that Fumoffu is a spin off. It really has no relevance to TSR does it? Anyway does anyone think The Second Raid will have english dubs sometime next fall?

If you're on episode 15 and still don't like it, I suggest you stop watching it because the "stupid bickering" only gets worse. I mean, come on, like the person I've quoted here, that's what makes FMP so great.

I don't hate it I just didn't like that before last nights episode there was no real advance in the plot. I now see that things are about to pick up.

A lot of the main plot doesn't get going until The Second Raid. The first series is almost like an introduction to the world and characters of FMP. Tons of crazier stuff happens in TSR and beyond.

Why is it only 13 episodes? That can't be right, it would be pointless to make that series.

Most of Fumoffu is probably considered irrelevant in TSR, but some references are made--there's a reference to the hot springs trip of Fumoffu 8-9, and to when Chidori was kidnapped by the gang in Fumoffu ep#2. Some things depend on subtle jokes, like when Sousuke borrows Kaname's notes in TSR and he leaves them on the submarine, it's an indirect reference to the Fumoffu ep where they race to his house to get the notes during lunch. As far as "major" plot points in Fumoffu, there's not that much connection, especially not the stuff at the end where Sousuke causes chaos and calls for immediate evacuation. So basically, Fumoffu isn't completely pointless
Edit: And don't worry on the licensing, I imagine ADV will pick this up eventually.

Thats what I was thinking. It makes no sense to make another season of a hit series that only has 13 episodes. I WANT TSR RIGHT NOW!!!!
