I know there's Azumanga Daioh, Pani Poni Dash, Harumi Suzumiya or whatever you call it, School Rumble....wow, school's a pretty big cliche in anime/manga. Azumanga Daioh's the only one I watch/read, though.

Are talking about manga that takes place prominantly in school or mangas that feature schoo? Cause there latter has a whole lot more. But if it was the former, then there's also High School Girls that you forgot to add to that list. And I think Kiss me Kill me but I'm not too certain about that one.

There's no way to answer that question because there are so many manga set in a schools at least for part of their run. If I look just at my own collection, at least 90% of them have characters who are featured at school some of the time.

Kinda expected when the majority of anime protagonists are teenagers.

What happened to Kuromartie, The greatest gag school manga? That is a hilarious story with all kinds of students at the "toughest" of schools.

There is also Great Teacher Onizuka, I My Me Strawberry Eggs, & Please Teacher.

And don't forget Hana-Kimi, W Juliet, Clamp School Detectives, Alice 19th and parts of Fushigi Yugi.

And outlawwolf is right. A lot of the manga feature schools because of the age of the characters.

Haha don't forget Bleach, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, DearS, Chobits(though technically its a cram school), Battle Vixens/Ikkitousen, Suzuka and so on.

Theres just too many and since pretty much every genre can have a setting in highschool or just school in general.

I don't know for sure, but I'm thinking Battle Royale would have something to do with school.

Yep it does, basic plot line is bad students sent to an isolated island with a school to kill each other. Thats just putting it very very very simple.

As has been mentioned in others parts of this thread, there are hundred of hundreds of them, my listing of only a few is like a drop in the lake of these things.

Wasn't the class chosen at random? I was under the impression that the state of the youth was so poor that the classes weren't handpicked, but randomly picked.
